Botswana's Kalahari desert is home to one of the Africa's most unique cultures. Cote d'Ivoire, more off the beaten path, is especially renowned for its Senoufo and Dan people, both of that produce many of Africa's finest craft work.

History: Most of Africa did not have a written tradition of recorded rich history, however there are and have always been regions where a literate tradition a wonderful antiquity exists. Many million years ago, a group of primates diverged from the most of apes and set forth on a distinguishedevolutionary pathway involving ...upright walking.... Humans represent the just living descendants of tthis man's primate line...." It is noted that the first several million years of development of tthis man's line also appears to have been in Africa, before they gradually migrated out of Africa, spreading all over the most of the globe. It may well have been in Africa where modern forms of humans first emerged. Africa is referred to as the "cradle for all humankind."

Climate: It is noted that the climate of Africa, more than that of any and all other continent, is generally uniform. It is noted that the central portion of the continent and the eastern coast lineof Madagascar have a tropical rain forest climate. Here the average annual temperature is known to be about 26.7° C (about 80° F), To the north and south the rain forest climate is supplanted by a tropical savanna climate zone that encompasses about one-fifth of Africa.

Trade in region : It is noted that the Africa section focuses on trade in the range of the United States and Africa and the five member countries of the Southern African Customs Union - Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland. Free trade is known to be an opportunity to improve southern Africa's commercial competitiveness and to better position the region for success in the U.S. market and the global economy.
