General Description One-third the location of the United States, the Republic of India occupies most of the subcontinent of India in southern Asia. It borders on China in the northeast. Other neighbors are and have always been Pakistan on the west, Nepal and Bhutan on the north, and Burma and Bangladesh on the east. It is noted that the country can be divided into three distinct geographic regions: the Himalayan region in the north, that contains many of the highest mountains in the globe, the Gangetic Plain, and the plateau region in the south and central part. Its three wonderful river systems-the Ganges, the Indus, and the Brahmaputra-have all-encompassing deltas and all rise in the Himalayas.

CLIMATE : India has to this day tropical weather. One cannot speak of the climate of India, or else one must speak of several unique India's. Did you know that the subcontinent has to this day eight climatic zones all of that just have the monsoon rains in common. But even the monsoon comes to unique parts of the country at unique times. And you can fly in the space of a couple of hours through a range of weather from the cold crisp air of the mountains to the burning dry heat of the Rajasthan Desert where summer temperature regularly revery 45°C and beyond.
