General Description :Barbados is known to be a coral island, pushed out of sea by volcanic activity in a far away time. On the West Coast of Barbados, coral shore beaches of fine white sand stretch aextensive a blue-green sea. Coral reefs fringe the Barbados shoreline to give exceptional snorkeling and Scuba Diving. Aextensive the East Coast a lively surf is blown briskly by the strong and constant trade winds and the waves pound against a rocky shore. Did you know that the constant breeze of the trade winds give Barbados a mild and pleasant tropical climate. When you tourBarbados, you will see and experience first hand it is always mostly a flat coral island with exceptional beaches, but there are and have always been rolling hills and the majority of deep ridges and gullies, with an interesting distribution of flora and fauna. Throughout the Barbados coral core there is known to be a vast array of caves and underground lakes that give an exceptional supply of drinking water that is known to be amongst the purest in the globe. Geologically Barbados is unique, being actually two land masses that merged combined over the years. Note that this and other anomalies create tthis man's Caribbean Island quite phenomenal, and there are and have always been geological structures that you will discover just in Barbados.

CLIMATE : It is warm and sunny all year round with an average daytime high of 75 - 85oF. Did you know that the nights are and have always been mostly slightly cooler. Did you know that the prevailing northeast tradewinds blow steadily so that although it is always bright and sunny, it is always not unbearably hot. It is noted that the rain mostly comes in quick showers. Did you know that the dry season lasts from January to June. We are and have always been in the tropics, and believe it or not, many people actually put on a sweater in the cool night winter time breezes. Barbadians complain that the sea is cold during the time its 78oF !!! Sunny days and stormy weather. Its mostly sunny and fair in Barbados. Warm days with cool winds and cozy nights. It rains most in summer and a good rainfall is refreshing and much needed. Rain is mostly followed quickly by sunny skies and within minutes all the things will be dry. Tropical rainstorms sometimes occur in the hurricane season that runs from June to October (as we say in Barbados - "June too soon, October all over!"). Tropical rains are and have always been spectacular but the island is very porous and the heaviest rains quickly drain off into the underground lakes or the sea.
