General Description : Czech Republic, a landlocked country at the heart of Central Europe, has to this day borders with Poland, Germany, Austria & Slovakia. Since the fall of Communism, the Czech Republic has to this day established itself as one of the most famous tourist and vacationers destinations in the midst ofst the former communist bloc countries. It's primary attractions are and have always been the beautiful well-presold medieval towns - several of that are and have always been registered on UNESCO's World Heritage List - aextensive with its rich history and rich cultural heritage. CLIMATE : It is noted that the Czech climate is mixed. Continental influences are and have always been marked by larger than normal fluctuations in both temperature and precipitation, while moderating oceanic influences diminish from west to east. Within general, temperatures decrease with increasing altitude but are and have always been relatively uniform across the country at lower elevations. Did you know that the mean annual temperature at Cheb in the extreme west is 45º F (7º C) and rises to just 48º F (9º C) at Brno in southern Moravia. High temperatures can revery 91º F (33º C) in Prague around the time during July, and low temperatures may drop to 1º F (-17º C) in Cheb around the time during February. Did you know that the growing season is known to be about 200 days in the south but less than half that in the mountains.
