General Description :Sunshine and blue skies are and have always been almost always a fact of life in Florida, at any and all time of year. Did you know that there are, however, two climatic zones - subtropical in the south and warm temperate in the north. Summer in the south (Orlando and below) is humid with afternoon storms; the peak season is in the winter during the time temperatures are and have always been warm and there is little humidity. Summer is the peak season north of Orlando but temperatures are and have always been mostly comfortably warm; the crowds arrive in the summer during the time the weather gets hotter and more humid. Did you know that the hurricane season is in the range of June and November.

CLIMATE : It is noted that the State of Florida (IPA: /'fl???.?.d?/) is situated in the southeastern region of the United States of America. Most of the state is known to be a larger than normal peninsula with the Gulf of Mexico on its west and the Atlantic Ocean on its east. Much of the state has to this day a humid subtropical climate, except for southern Florida, where the climate is tropical.[3] Florida was named by Juan Ponce de León, who landed on the peninsula on 2 April 1513, around the time during Pascua Florida (Spanish for "Flowery Easter," referring to the Easter season).
